Professor Naresh Dadhich is a well-known scholar of Gandhi and Peace Studies. He has a first class academic career and has 28 years of postgraduate teaching experience in the University of Rajasthan. He has authored 6 books, and has published numerous articles in reputed journals. He has traveled extensively in India and abroad (USA, Israel, Netherlands, South Africa, South Korea, etc.) on academic assignments. Prof. Dadhich is a referee for many prestigious professional journals published in UK, Australia, etc, and is on editorial board of Journal of Peace Education published by Taylor & Francis Group, Oxford. He has been elected Convener of Peace Education Commission of International Peace Research Association for two terms and is publishing its newsletter - Peace Building - that has a membership of more than 400 institutions in the world. Prof. Dadhich’s work is cited in Eminent Scholars work on Gandhi and recently he has been awarded prestigious Pell Fellowship of Salve Regina University, Rhode Island in USA to work on international understanding. Prof. Dadhich was Director of Center for Gandhian Studies in Rajasthan University, Jaipur, for several years where he initiated publication of an academic journal and started organizing national and international seminars and conferences, which he continues to do at regular interval even today.
Presently he is the Vice Chancellor of Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota. Since the assumption of charge of this responsibility on October 11, 2006 he has enabled the University to scale new heights.
